FriohanaShave Ice at Hermann Park
Friohana parks our truck at three different Hermann Park spots throughout the season — McGovern Centennial Gardens, The Commons, and Lake Plaza. We use our own Hawaiian-style shave (soft, never crunchy), natural fruit, and syrups we make from scratch. Find us in the park nearly every weekend from spring through summer.
The three spots inside Hermann Park
McGovern Centennial Gardens (MCG)
📍 1500 Hermann Dr, Houston, TX 77004
Our most regular spot. Easy parking off Hermann Drive, shaded benches, and a short walk from the gardens. We're typically here Wednesday – Sunday during peak season, 11 AM – 7 PM.
The Commons · Near the Carousel
📍 6001 Fannin St, Houston, TX 77030
Closer to the Miller Outdoor Theatre side. Great spot if you're coming for a show or the playground. Look for us right by the carousel.
Lake Plaza
📍 6001 Fannin St area, by the reflecting pool
Weekend spot near the lake — great for picnic-style afternoons.
What to order
If it's your first time, try the Naturals — strawberry, mango, or watermelon, all made with real fruit. Add condensed milk on top for the Hawaiian style. Toppings (boba, fresh fruit, mochi) are $1.50 each.
Hosting an event at the park?
We cater birthday parties, fundraisers, and corporate events at Hermann Park (or anywhere in the Houston area). Trip fees are free inside the Loop and depend on distance after that.
